How Does This Website Work? | Selecting The Right Comedian | Frequently Asked Questions

ComedyBids.com is your place for finding and booking professional comedians for your events. Our goal is to provide you with a variety of options for your entertainment needs to ensure that you get the perfect comedian for the perfect event. Below are a list of frequently asked questions to help explain our system and how to start with ComedyBids.com.

So you may be wondering, where do I start?

First, create your FREE account with Comedybids.com. We do not charge you a fee to use our service, but you must be logged in to request quotes from our comedians.

You can browse our comedian pages, view video, and listen to audio without having an account with us, but you will not be able to contact our comedians until you sign up. But remember, it's FREE, so what do you have to lose?
Click here to create your account.

After I create an account, what should I do then?

Now it's time to 'Create An Event'. You will want to make sure you are logged into your newly created ComedyBids.com account.

1. Click 'My Account' on the top right-hand side of your screen. You're now looking at your ComedyBids.com Control Panel.

2. Click 'Create An Event' on the left side of your screen.

3. Enter all necessary information for your upcoming event. The more descriptive you are about your needs, the more likely you will connect with the perfect entertainer for your event.

4. Click 'Submit' and your event will be saved. You can always edit the details of your event later if you desire.

I created an event, now how can I request bids on this event?

Now that you have created an event, you can start searching our database of comedians. Click 'Browse Comedians' to begin. (Remember that you must be logged in to request bids.)

Use the provided search tools to limit your search to comedians who fit your particular needs. If you find a comedian that you want a bid from, click their 'Request Bid' checkbox. You then need to scroll to the bottom of the page where you will be prompted to select the event you want this particular comedian(s) to bid on.

Note: (You may also do this on a comedians profile page by scrolling to the bottom of the page, selecting your event, and submitting the request bid form.)

Hit 'Submit' and that will send an email with your event details to all of your desired comedians.

I've sent a bid request to 5 comedians, now what?

When you sent your bid request to your desired comedians, that sent an email to each of them with your event details. When each comedian reviews your request and checks their respective schedules, they will decide whether they want to bid on your event, or they may politely decline. Either way, when a comedian bids or declines to bid on your event, you will receive an email through ComedyBids.com with their bid details.

Note: If a comedian does bid on your event, we will reveal to them your provided contact information so they can follow up with you. You will also be provided with the comedian's contact information if a comedian bids on your event. We will NOT reveal your contact information to comedians that decline to bid on your event. We at Comedybids.com have worked hard to ensure that all the comedians listed on our site are of the highest caliber; however, we recommend selecting comedians that are professional and prompt in their communication with you.

I received a bid on my event and I want to book a comedian.

Again, we do not charge you to have an account with us or to book a comedian. If you want to book a comedian, all we require is that you do it through our system. It's as simple as clicking 'Book This Comedian.'

1. After you've come to terms with your desired comedian, please log in to your ComedyBids.com account.

2. Go to View/Edit Bids

3. Select the comedian you want to book, click 'Book This Comedian,' and enter the agreed upon fee for this event.

Congratulations! You have now booked a comedian for your event. You should now communicate directly with the comedian or comedian's representative if you have questions or issues to discuss regarding your event.
